There aren’t many snowboarders that have me totally fanboying. Mark McMorris is definitely one of them. Him and Marcus Kleveland always impress, they are the latest generation of snowboarding superheroes. The things they can do on snow constantly astounds and appear to bend the laws of physics.
While Mark is a competition champion, loved by the Prime Minister of Canada, and sponsored by every big name in the industry, he is also a huge backcountry free-rider and when not winning trophies and people’s hearts he is destroying backcountry with his brother Craig and the Shredbots. While his backcountry free-riding has nearly killed him this year, like all next-level injured sportspeople, his entire life was dedicated to swift recovery.
To go from this……
…..in under 8 months is next level recovery and deserves praise, and also prayers from Mark for his level of luck and dedication to recovery!!
But enough from me fanboying – Burton has released an epic full part also worshipping their superhero!
…is a web series showcasing Burton’s top riders. In this episode, Mark McMorris bucks the contest kid stereotype as he steps away from the scoreboards and bright lights to drop hammers from British Columbia to Australia, Aspen, Japan and Austria. From heavy corked rotations to pow turns, it was a season highlighted by fun adventures with friends and a necessary reset switch following the heaviest contest circuit ever.
